Eliza Toulmin (nee Livingston) Born in Jamaica on December 7th 1812, and died on January 11th 1885. She was the daughter of Jasper Hall Livingston whose brother Edward Phillip was married to a daughter of Robert R. Livingston (1746 – 1813) who was Minister to France in 1803 and negotiated the Louisiana Purchase. He was also an ancestor of the Bob Livingston, the American politician (in 2000) . It is possible that she was born in Jamaica because her father held some diplomatic post there. (Later her brother Henry Livingston was attaché to the American Embassy in London.)

This is a photograph of an existing miniature.
