   The Gaines family got interwoven with the Toulmins in a complex fashion, and a

(selective) tree may be helpful.  Work on this is still in progress (PT90).

   Martha's daughter Helen Johnson seems to have been adopted by Harry T when he

married Martha, and was known as Helen Johnson Toulmin.  The following details are

from PT.

Nothing whatever is known of him; it has been

suggested that the Johnsons were members of Harry

Toulmin's Chowbent congregation who emigrated after

him, but PT is doubtful.
